Jerusalem Dinner
Since we were little we have had a "Jerusalem Dinner" every December. We celebrate the events of Christmas by dressing up and sharing a meal. Our mother goes to a lot of work to make sure it is perfect. We have halibut, pita bread, avocados, green onions, cheeses, grape juice, olives & other fruits. We kneel at low tables and eat by candle light.
Afterwards we head upstairs & read our family christmas stories. Grandpa Bruce reads the Polar Express
Granny Sharon reads The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey. We put bells on the tree and eat M&Ms.
The best part, everyone can feel the spirit of the tradition and makes a huge effort to be there.
