A Name

Tonight we were sitting around the fire pit. Gretchen was talking and talking and talking. I had her sit on my lap and cuddled her close (maybe tried to muffle the sound?). I took her face in my hands and told her that people often ask me about my kids names, if I like them, if they fit. I tell them that I am very happy with my kids names. Sometimes I think Jake could have been something different and I think I should have named Gracie, Grace. But Grethcen, it fits, it is simply perfect. HOWEVER, if I had to pick another name for Grethcen, it would be Cathy. ~as in Chatty Cathy~

Mike laughed.

Gracie asked what I would change her name to. I said it would have to be something that went with drama. Jake suggested Pama.

Gretchen was please that her "other" name was the best, Cathy and not Pama, "Pama is not a good name".
