Spring Break

This year the kids had an entire week off school. Gracie was in California with the Stokers staying in 5 star hotels and going to the front of the line in every venue Southern California had to offer. So I took 3 days off to be with the little ones. On Monday we tended Josie while Lindsey took Trig to the doctor to see about getting tubes. I made sugar cookies and 3 different colors of frosting. I boiled about 3 dozen eggs and we headed out to Alyson's to color eggs and decorate cookies. Turns out, when I got there I had forgotten the frosting. The kids had fun and I only took one picture and I didn't even get all the kids in it. Grandma Great joined us and we always love to have her there. Lindsey's friend Shawnee came too. It is fun to have friends that are close enough that they don't mind spending the day with your sisters. Alyson made us lunch and dinner because we stayed so long. That was a little embarrassing so I did her nails and both Taylor and Kaitlyn's. I did Shawnee's nails and toes but we had to do her toes at mom's house so Alyson could have a break. She is always such a cute hostess but after 6 plus hours, you should leave anyones home.

On Tuesday Jake went to play with Keaton and Mike and I took Gretchen and Layla to Grandma Great's for scones. Then we dropped the girls off with Lindsey and went to Logan to get our new table. That night I left Mike with the kids and went with Lindsey, Maddie, Josie and Trig to get Easter stuff and Lindsey some new pants.

When I got back, Mike had the table and 4 chairs put together. I started to put the other 4 together. It took 3 hours to put together one chair and come to the conclusion that the other 3 were made wrong. I was up until 2:18 am. The other 3 parts are on order and then we will have 8 chairs, maybe we will invite you over for dinner.

On Wednesday we took the old table to Lindsey and went to the movie. We had to be out of the house so Annie could come clean. We saw Mirror Mirror. It was really good. It was the story of Snow White from the wicked queens perspective. It was fun to listen to Gretchen sort it all out after the show.

After that I made Gretchen and Jake play in the back of the truck while I vacuumed the truck out and washed it. Once I got it home I spent about 2 hours taking the plastic window covers off and cleaning the inside.

Leslie and her kids stopped by so we made dinner and enjoyed their company. It was nice to have the laundry done, the house clean and drive a clean truck back to work.
