Teeth

This boy has some crazy small teeth. You might not of noticed, because he doesn't actually open his mouth when he talks:) Anyway, Mike told him a story about waiting until each of his teeth were hanging from a tread before he would pull them out. Jake set a goal to do the same. The whole thing really cramped my style. If you know me at all, I am a picker a poker & a puller. I can't stand it when something could be altered. I have offered Jake everything under the sun to get him to let me pull this tooth. Can you see how imperative it was that I got it out of his mouth?

When his other front tooth came out, this tooth automatically scooted into the middle and turned sideways. Did you know it is picture time at school?
Anyway, I couldn't take it any longer. I really did give it a good shot. I tackled the boy to the floor, pinned him down and started negotiating. The only offer he would take was 3 days out of school and he wanted them before I pulled the tooth. (It was a very loose tooth and the next one is already down) I needed to have a reason to take him to the movie, another story, so I pulled the tooth and invited him to come to the show. Doesn't this look better?

I remember that my Grandpa pulled out my teeth several times. Every time I had a loose tooth, I would show my Grandpa. Every time I showed my Grandpa, he would ask to see how wiggly it was. Every time he put his fingers in my mouth, a tooth came out, wiggly or not. I remember it, I remember thinking I couldn't trust him and I remember that it happened a lot. I turned out okay, I hope Jake does:)

My mom used lots of threats to pull my teeth out because I would do the same (let them hang by a thread). What always worked? She would tell me if I didn't cooperate, she would take me to the dentist or the Dr. Broadbent and they would do it and it wouldn't be as nice. Worked every time. lol.
