Happy Birthday Gretchen!

Miss Gretsy is really 3. It makes me so very sad. I wish she could have stayed 2 forever. Gretchen has been very funny to get to know. She doesn't always let people in her circle. Her motto is guilty until proven innocent. She really makes people earn her love. When we found out we were having a baby, Mike & I were not so ready. Jake was so heavy to carry and always wanting undivided attention. I was quite worried about having 2 so close. After I had Gretchen they handed her to me & I was immediately in love. She looked exactly like my baby pictures and it was an immediate bond for me. I never though it was fair that my cousin Ed & his wife Britney with all of their dark hair, skin & eyes were getting babies that looked like mine should have. Anyway I had great hopes for a little blond bob & Gretchen was it!
Miss Gretchen is a mimicker. She copies everything she hears. Grandpa Bruce calls her a parrot. She is quite bossy for the 3rd child, but it works for her. She knows what she wants and makes it happen. Just think what that will be like when she is 13. I love Gretchen and she loves me. She lets me bite her and loves to sit on my lap and be held whenever she can. When she was born Mike video taped her first bath. She loves to watch the movie over and over. She calls it "The Cry Babies" I sit on the computer chair and she stands behind me with her arms around my neck and we watch Cry Babies. Gretchen wants nothing more than to be a baby forever. She is absorbed with binkis & bottles. She is always playing with her dollies and can't enjoy it with out them having a binki or bottle in their mouth. She would love to have her own. Grandma Gloria took her shopping for her birthday and they examined all of the babies. She had a reason for each one that she disliked. She told grandma that she couldn't get a particular baby because it was too chubby. I am looking forward to another year! Love you baby girl!
