Today is Saturday, the day after Gretchen's birthday. What a relief, we don't have to discuss it anymore!! She has been talking about this birthday for months. At one point I had to tell her we could not talk about it until Jake's birthday was over.
So that going to school on your birthday wasn't so bad, I made Gretchen and appointment with her little friend's mom to get her nails done. She has been wanting them done forever. They are what she calls "high" nails, meaning they are longer than her original nail. She choose purple tips with zebra designs. Ava fed her chips and salsa while she got her nails done and then had to help her put her shoes on to leave.
For dinner we went to Javier's with Grandpa and Grandma Hall. Granny brought balloons. We kept moving the ballons so we could see or they could bring the food, but Gretchen kept brining them back.
She didn't want them to sing to her and was a little embarrased but ended up enjoying it.
e opened her gifts there and couldn't wait to play with them. Jake gave her a Crayola art kit that is a small easel.
Mike and I gave her a Kindle with a purple cover.
Purple and turquoise are her favorite colors right now.
Gracie gave her Zinkies, some gum and a Baby Lips chap-stick.
Grandma and Grandpa gave her the Bakery Set of "girl Legos"
She had fun putting them together with Jake and Gracie. When she grows up, she wants to work in an icecream shop. This was as close as we could find.
Jake made this shed, fire pit and a little house for her new Lego girls and Zinkies.
He made himself this semi truck & trailer to deliver the above mentioned items.
