Baseball/Softball 2012

I was able to go to a lot of Gracie's games. She was fun to watch. She played catcher a lot and it took some time for us to figure out (and remember) all the bigger kid rules. Gracie is a versatile player and does well in several positions. It was fun to hear her cheer on her teammates. I just wish they had a bit longer season. It seems just as they pick it up the season is over. However, I am not sure how many more games Gretchen could take.
Sometime or all the time Jake and Gretchen have a hard time sitting through Gracie's game. When Gretchen was busy asking me for the 100th time if she could have some taffy, Jake took her chair and ran it up the hill. When I told her no for the 100th time she went back to sit but couldn't find her chair. Jake was delighted, and I thought it was pretty funny too. Gretchen, was not impressed.

Jake had a great season. He is a strong hitter and throws a straight, long ball. He makes a pretty good first baseman too.
He seems to really enjoy baseball and is a good player.
I thought maybe sitting a year out would be a
problem but he picked it right back up. He doesn't like to sit in the dugout, he has to jump the fence, go to the bathroom or just roll in the grass, but he always seems to be there when it is his turn.
The game schedules overlapping makes me a little anxious, but once we get to the right field at the right time, I really enjoy watching my kids play. Mike is really good to practice with them and they enjoy playing catch in the backyard too.

Jake is pretty sneaky. That was a great and funny story. I liked to chair up on the hill. How long did it take Gretchen to make him go get it?
