Dirt Bike Party - Jake is 8

Jake wanted to go to the bike park for his birthday. I thought it was kinda irronic, but I was glad he was excited about riding his bike. I made this invite and he invited 10 boys. Only 3 of the boys actually go to Jake's school. He has friends all over.

John has been telling us about this great bike park in Clinton. We went and checked it out on Monday night after the storm and it had a few mud puddles, but it was perfect. Turns out, the boys like the muddy areas the most. The bikes and boys were pretty muddy.
Tyler isn't in the picture because within 30 seconds of arriving he had split his chin open. Mike & I were still unloading bikes, he jumped on his and rode right up the skate ramp... Up, over, flip & crash. It was pretty bad. We did plan ahead and brought a first aid kit.

It was fun watching them ride hard and cat call. They were hysterical. They kept coming back to the table to give me their sweat reports. I made sure they kept their helmets on but they were taking them off every 10 min when they came to get a drink and a treat. A few of them were dunking their heads in the drinking fountain. We had Gatorade, ice water, string cheese, Doritios, Twix & Fruit Roll Ups to snack on.

After the bike park we went back to our house to open gifts and eat cake & icecream. Grandma & Grandpa Ballard joined us at the house. Lucas & Isaiah were there too!!
Bridger, Adam, Connor, Jake, Tyler
Isaiah, Kasen, Easton & Keaton
Jake wanted this guy on his cake. It was not one of my best, but he was so pleased. I was a little tickled because it was my first 2 layer cake. It lookes crooked in the picture, but it wasn't.
This is a picture of our 2 party casulties: Tyler's split chin & Connors bee sting.
For the record, while we were at the park I overheard several
"This is the best birthday party EVER!!" I was so excited.
That is what makes it all worth it (even if they say that at every party)

i am so glad that it went really well for you. it looks like it was a ton of fun. i think we should load the bikes up one day and take all of the kids, especially after it rains!!

it really is hard to tell exactly where tyler did get hurt with all the chocolate around his mouth and all. you forgot to tell me about the bee sting. i am so glad that boy was not allergic. that could have been really scary!!

Happy Birthday Jacob! It looks like a fabulous party. I am glad that everyone came home in one piece even if a few of those pieces were scraped.
