This year it was warm enough to host our party outside. It was tricky for the mommas with the babies to keep them covered. We all got a little too much sun, but that is better than having a tea party in the basement. The weather was lovely and so was the food.
Granny's gift was another "Tea for One" set that Emilee & Madeline picked out. Jake broke the dainty butterfly right off the top before the party was even over. He felt so bad. Good thing Grandpa Bruce has become an expert tea-set-gluer. With as many tea parties as Granny hosts with little people this is a necessity.
These ladies had a place at the big table, but they wanted to sit with these 2 handsome boys. My lens had a fingerprint on it so some of the pictures I took are blurry. I had to include a few of these shots anyway.
Emilee got a new hat for the occasion & it is one of my favorites! Too bad we don't have a full shot of Madeline's dress it was darling & perfect for a tea party. Grandma Great dressed up one of Grandpa's old hats with a few flowers. We love that she comes to our parties. She even had company staying with her. While the mommas cleaned up the kids played. These sweet cousins had a delightful time washing their feet in one large yellow bowl.
Aren't they so cute together?
Happy Birthday Mom! This is a really special tradition.
