New Years Eve

For New Years we went to Idaho. We left Mike home to take care of the dog breeding and we headed up with my mom. Addy & Cameron were going to come, but they all got sick. Maddie was there hanging out with her friend Marie. We all went to Grace Elementary where they had a lot of games set up. There we tables of games like spoons & numbers. In the kid section there were games like fish pond, football toss, basketball & plunko. For every game you played you got a ticket for 3 tickets you could get a candy bar or a soda. The kids got at least one of each. After the games we headed over to the church for the dance. Jake and I danced the hokey-pokey. Then we spilled one glass of red punch and 2 of the 3 sodas the kids won. We threw away Jakes white long-sleeve t-shirt and washed my white jacket out in the bathroom sink. Then Jake and Gretchen took off running through the slow dancing crowd. They were weaving in and out of couples. There were a lot of kids running around and parents dancing with kids. Once Jake & Gretchen came back out of breath. They reported that Gracie was dancing with a boy. I got a picture, but promised not to post it. She was embarrassed.

Gretchen gave me a run for my money. She had me dancing all night long. She would tell me just how to hold her hands and to "go up close" so everyone could see us. Then she would tell me just how to hold my face while dancing.

After the dance, the Social Dance Club did a performance. Leann did a great job & it was so fun to get to see her dance.

That night we had a sleep-over in Lindsey's living-room and we watched the ball drop while eating yummy treats.
