Finally! An Answer.

Sissy & I made another venture to the hospital for more testing. They started out with an ultra-sound of her kidneys & bladder. Then she was sedated & they ran tests on her kidneys & bladder. It went very well, but was still hard to watch.
Diagnosis: Grade 2 bladder reflux bi-laterally (her bladder backs up into both of her kidneys) and recurring urinary tract infections.
Bad news: we have to see a pediatric urologist at Primary's.
Good news: They say that most level 2s will out grow the problem without surgery.

They are going to put her on a mild antibiotic to keep the infections under control & hopefully keep the infected urine out of the kidneys!  They also put her on a medication that relaxes her bladder so she can empty it completely which has been adding to the problem.

Although this does not sound like a lot of fun, I bet it is so nice to AT LEAST know what is going on with your little girl. I hope all continues to go well.

Angela, I had no idea the doctor visit was so extensive. I hate watching the kids go through crap like that, but sometimes it is worth the peace of mind. We absolutely love Smetch (sorry I cannot get away from calling her that and Jacob - Jacoby). We have enjoyed making your family a small part of our lives. Love you all!!!
